Credits and referrals
Earn platform-fee credit by referring another club or redeeming a RaffleLink promo code — it comes straight off your fee at payout.
RaffleLink credit comes straight off your platform fee when a raffle pays out — so a credit doesn't arrive as a separate payment, it just means a bigger payout. There are two ways to earn it: refer another organisation, or redeem a promo code from RaffleLink.
Work with non-profits professionally?
This page is about one organisation referring another, and it pays in credit. If you're a consultant or agency who introduces non-profits to RaffleLink as part of your work, the partner program pays cash commission instead.
Where to find it
Open Credits & referrals from your account menu. The page has two tabs:
- Credits — this organisation's credit balance, where you redeem a promo code, and a history of credit activity.
- Referrals — your personal referral link and code, share buttons, and the organisations you've referred.
Refer another organisation
Know another club, school, or charity that should be running raffles properly? Refer them and, once they get going, you both get a $30 platform-fee credit.
Share your link. On the Referrals tab you'll find Your referral link, plus a plain code you can read out (Or share your code). There are one-tap buttons for email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
They run a raffle. They sign up using your link or code, then start selling tickets online. (If they've already got your code, they enter it in the Referral or promo code (optional) field when they create their organisation.)
You both earn. Once they reach $1,000 in online ticket sales, you each get a $30 platform-fee credit.
The Referrals tab tracks your referral credit, how many clubs joined, and how many are still pending. Each organisation you've referred sits in a list with its status:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | They've joined; they haven't hit $1,000 in online sales yet. |
| Qualified | They've hit the threshold — your credit is on its way. |
| Credited | The credit is yours. |
| Not eligible | This referral doesn't qualify (see below). |
It's for bringing new organisations to RaffleLink
The credit is meant to reward genuinely new organisations joining. Referrals that turn out to be an existing RaffleLink organisation — including one that ran raffles on RaffleLink Classic — or that look like your own organisation under another name, show as Not eligible. If you think that's wrong, email support@rafflelink.com and we'll take a look.
Redeem a promo code
RaffleLink sometimes issues promo codes that credit your platform fee — for a campaign, a partnership, or to sort out a specific arrangement. A code can be redeemed once per organisation, in either of two places:
- When you create your organisation — on the payout step there's a Have a referral or promo code? link; enter the code there and the credit applies to your platform fees straight away.
- Any time afterwards — on the Credits tab, use the Have a promo code? box, enter the code, and choose Redeem.
If a code can't be applied at signup (it's expired, used up, or no longer active), your organisation is still created — you'll see a message pointing you to email support@rafflelink.com so we can sort out the credit.
How the credit is applied
- It's applied automatically to the platform fee when a raffle reaches its final payout — there's nothing to do at payout time.
- Your tax invoice still shows the full fee. The credit is added back on top, so what changes is that your payout is bigger.
- If a credit is bigger than one raffle's fee, the leftover rolls over to your next raffle. It doesn't expire.
When a credit is earned or applied, you'll get an email confirming it, and you'll see it in your Credits activity and your payout breakdown.
